John Cho has closed a deal to join the cast of new NBC comedy series
Go On as a regular. The single-camera comedy stars Matthew Perry as charming and cocky radio sportscaster Ryan King who is getting over the death of his wife with the help of the members of his support group. Cho guest starred in the pilot as Ryan’s boss who refuses to put him back on the air until he seeks counseling. The character will now become regular, marking Cho’s first regular series role since ABC drama
FlashForward. Cho has been part of several major feature franchises. In addition to
Harold & Kumar, where he plays one of the title characters, he also has co-starring roles in the
Star Trek and
American Pie franchises. He was last seen in the fourth
American Pie movie and recently wrapped the upcoming
Star Trek sequel where he plays Hikaru Sulu. The actor, repped by Gersh and Principato-Young, also just wrapped feature comedy
ID Theft opposite Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy and will next be seen in the
Total Recall reboot with Colin Farrell. On the TV side, Cho and Kal Penn voice the lead characters and produce an animated version of
